I’m Courtney,

I am blessed to be wife to one incredible man and Mom to our four thriving kids.  Two were home made, and two were adopted.  Plus the dog, a cat, and 6 chickens.  It has been a wild ride so far, but God has designed our family perfectly. We are waiting with expectation to see what He does next!

Things I love: being outside, reading the newspaper, snuggling with my little ones (no matter how big they are), my cell phone, dark chocolate, God’s Word, the internet, anything functional and efficient, Amazon Prime, learning about stuff, recycling, saving money, raw milk, musicals, herbal medicine, home schooling

I am passionate about parenting well, advocating for and teaching my children, foster care and adoption, and the power of words.

As we move through this first world life of ours, we strive to be mindful that many of our challenges and struggles are just our first world problems.  Many people in our world have far more crucial things to contend with than having only one bathroom in a house for six people or not being able to afford braces or being down to one vehicle or….   And the list goes on.  We try to keep both a global and an eternal view.
